Liquid Democracy –
Adaptive Representation

Coming Soon

Julia Myers speaks with Andreas Nitsche about liquid democracy. They explore how transitive delegations enable scaling, and how adaptive representation patterns emerge as people adjust their delegation choices over time. The conversation draws on a recent paper co-authored with Davide Grossi in the context of the PERYCLES project, which shows that transitive delegation does not lead to runaway power but instead helps keep it in check. They also discuss recall and suspension in the LiquidFeedback implementation, before concluding with a look at delegation cycles.
