The City of Turin launched the WeGovNow public pilot with FirstLife and LiquidFeedback. [1][2][3][4] More WeGovNow applications will follow soon.
Currently participants can vote on 73 innovative social and cultural projects in the areas “Public space”, “Pluralism and integration”, “Music and performing arts” as well as “Digital creativity”. 7500 participant accounts have already been registered.
After completing the voting on social and cultural projects, the city will proceed with further participation projects, such as the Parco Dora planning.
A LiquidFeedback participation process consists of a deliberation and a voting phase. The pros and cons of a proposal are discussed, improvements are suggested and alternatives can be considered. During the discussion viable voting options are identified and used in the preferential voting. The online participation can go and in hand with on-site workshops.
More information on LiquidFeedback and a 3 minute video can be found on the LiquidFeedback website.
